An Interview with Nick of Dancing Bear Lodge Arizona
In this new series, we plan to spotlight one customer each month and ask them what kind of changes they've noticed since implementing our 3D floor plan layouts. This month, we'd like to introduce you to Nick, owner of the beautiful Dancing Bear Lodge in Pine, Arizona.

Why did you decide to get a 3d rendering done?
We felt that it would help our guests better envision the space and how it would work for them and their family prior to booking, removing any hesitation and resulting in increased reservations
What were your expectations about getting a 3D rendering done with 3dMyRental? Were you apprehensive, nervous, surprised, etc...?
I didn’t expect the level of detail could be as good as it was. Being so detailed as to Matching textures and colors of furniture floor coverings exceeded my expectations.
Were you happy with the process? Was it painful, easy?
I was very happy with process and it was pretty painless. It is not easy to communicate all the intricate details of the space over email sometimes, and we made a quite a few changes along the way to get everything right, but I never felt pressured to be perfect the 1st time or shamed for asking something to be corrected.
Do you think its made a difference with your travelers?
I really believe so…our space is somewhat unique, and we have an open concept loft that was converted in a primary bedroom. It really helps travelers understand the space and privacy concerns prior to booking, and protects me from travelers who might complain or be surprised when they arrive, as they had a pretty awesome 3D rendering of the space to review before they booked.
Have you asked for feedback and have they given you any responses?
I haven’t asked guests for feedback on the 3D renderings, but it’s common for us to usually get lots of questions about the space. (editor's note: Imagine the people who don't even take the time to ask those questions and move on to a different property!) Those questions have really gone away now, giving me more time to do something else rather than answering the same questions over and over.
As far as investment goes, how do you think our service has served you? Do you think its working and brought in more bookings?
Its hard to quantify the number of bookings as we have a pretty low vacancy rate already…but we have recently shifted our focus to appealing to a more sophisticated group of guests recently and the renderings have helped us make that positive shift. Fewer guests per reservation and paying more per night with less wear and tear is [a definite] positive shift.
